Matt Rusan, Senior Analyst, joined Hunden Strategic Partners after serving as a consultant at C.H. Johnson Consulting in Chicago. He has worked on a number of destination market, financial and feasibility studies and has completed extensive work in statistics, financial modeling, and economic impact analysis. Before joining Johnson Consulting, Mr. Rusan worked as a financial representative at McTigue Financial Group. He has also worked in the Global Private Client Group at Merrill Lynch. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from DePaul University in Chicago.
His entertainment/sports experience includes a stadium project for Florida International University, the Nassau Coliseum Redevelopment entertainment district, University of Delaware (Dover) stadium, the University of Central Florida Football Stadium, Ravalli County sports complex, and the Barnstable, MA Youth and Community Center. He has also worked on the East Texas State Fairgrounds in Tyler, TX.
Mr. Rusan’s hotel feasibility experience includes analysis of the economic impact of the Baltimore Convention Center Headquarters Hotel, analysis of the proposed Tucson convention center hotel and projects in El Paso, Texas and in Lee's Summit, MO. He also worked on the expansion of the Mohegan Sun ballroom in Connecticut. At HSP he has worked on dozens of assignments, including hotel studies in Thornton, Colorado; Amarillo, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
His convention and conference center experience includes work on projects in St. Joseph, Missouri; Thornton, Colorado; Portland, Oregon; College Station, TX; Tucson, AZ; Columbus and Jackson, Mississippi; Marietta, Ohio; and Kalamazoo, Michigan, among others.
