Timothy J. Pavlov, Senior Analyst, recently joined Hunden Strategic Partners after spending four years gaining hospitality operations and development experience at GreenLeaf Hospitality Group in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He has honed his financial and other analytical skills at HSP on numerous public and private projects across the U.S. and Canada.

Mr. Pavlov has been working on a variety of consulting projects at HSP that include a mix of uses. These include the development of a streetcar transit system in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan; a mixed-use boutique hotel and residential project in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a boutique hotel in Bentonville, Arkansas; and an economic and fiscal impacts analysis of projects such as the $750 million entertainment/retail development for the City of Toronto, Ontario Canada. He also recently completed an economic, fiscal and employment impact analysis for a major sports facility-related project in Chicago for a public agency.

He has also worked on a variety of hotel and convention center studies, including convention hotel projects in Madison, Wisconsin; Thornton, Colorado; Jeffersonville, Indiana; and Amarillo, Texas. Convention Center analyses have been completed in Jeffersonville, Indiana and Thornton, Colorado.

While at GreenLeaf, he developed the company’s property acquisition strategy for a ten-year growth plan. He also assisted in the design phase for the renovation of the company’s AAA Four Diamond hotel. T.J. has additional hospitality experience in Food & Beverage, Human Resources, and Engineering.

Mr. Pavlov also served as the acquisition advisor for Pavlov Properties LCC, in Marysville Michigan. A family owned business, Pavlov Properties acquires parcels of desirable real estate throughout the city of Marysville to later be incorporated into large development projects. T.J. provided analysis and recommendations on real estate projects sought by large retail chains and the Michigan Department of Transportation.

While in Kalamazoo T.J. was a member of the Board of Directors for Colleagues International, an international visitor exchange program that hosts foreign visitors sponsored by the Unites States Department of State to share best practices with business leaders. He has also participated in conferences and lectures across the United States as a member of both the American Association of Geographers and the American Planning Association. T.J. earned his Bachelors of Science in Geography/Urban and Regional Planning from Western Michigan University.
